This week my goal is getting in lots of play time with this little guy!

As I near the end of this pregnancy I realize these are all goals to be held loosely this week as anything can happen.

Family/Marriage/Mothering Goals

1)  Paint Pumpkins with Elijah.  As we prepare for big changes in our family I am looking forward to carving out as much alone time with Elijah as possible this week!  Last week we went on a mommy/son date to the Zoo which was so much fun.  🙂

2)  Go for a walk in the woods with Brandon.

3)  Attend a La Leche League meeting if possible.

Personal Goals

4)  Spend lots of time in prayer this week preparing spiritually for the birth of our baby.

5)  Keep eating healthy and exercising!

6)  Write at least 10 thank you notes this week.  The ladies at my church were so sweet and held a surprise baby shower for me on Sunday!

Homemaking Goals

7)  Clean basement.  Change sheets on guest bed and clean guest bathroom.

8)  Cook 2 meals for the freezer this week.

9)  Sew some fun items for baby girl!  Repair Eli’s penguin that has been sitting on my sewing desk for months.

Ministry Goals

10)  Prepare Sunday School lesson and songs to play for Sunday.  I just started teaching Sunday School recently which has been lots of fun!

This week I am focusing on spending time with my favorite 3-year-old!

Our family just got back from spending the weekend in Dallas, TX celebrating Meme’s 90th birthday!  We had an absolute blast but it is good to be home.  My main goal for this upcoming week is to spend time with Elijah.  I feel like I have hardly spent any alone time with him in the past week.

1.  Be intentional each day to spend quality time with Elijah reading and playing together.

2.  Take some photos of Elijah playing.

3.  Work on planning an overnight for Brandon & I in the next couple weeks.

Personal Goals

4.  Spend four days working on my new Bible Study The Son of David.

5.  Finish reading Clutterbusting and Breastfeeding Naturally.  Begin reading The Hero’s Lot.

Homemaking Goals

6.  Have Eli’s new dresser moved from the basement to the upstairs.

7.  Spend two mornings working in the garden weeding and harvesting vegetables.

8.   Sew at least one newborn cloth diaper cover.

Ministry Goals

As we near the end of the month I am reminded that next month is Spring.  Hooray!  I don’t know about you but I am ready!  My seeds came in the mail today so I am really itching for spring to be here!  🙂  This week should be a lighter one for us compared to last week.  I’m hoping on getting a bunch of good snuggle time reading in with my little man this week.  Pretty soon we will be busy with Spring activities and gardening but for now we are going to enjoy the last few weeks of Winter.

We had lots of fun last week playing under the coffee table.

Last week I ended up with a nasty cold that knocked me down for a couple of days.  I’m ready for spring!

Last Week’s Goals:

Family/Marriage/Mothering Goals

1. Sprout bean seeds with Elijah in a paper towel.  We originally taped the bags on the window but the seeds wouldn’t sprout.  After moving them to a warmer spot they have sprouted!

2. Plan and enjoy a great at home date night for Brandon.  We had fun hanging out together Thursday night.  I made a special dessert that was a complete flop but we had a great laugh over it.  Really Coconut Milk & Quinoa what was I thinking?  We also enjoyed a movie together.

3. Continue teaching Elijah the story of Creation this week.

Personal Goals

4. Read As Silver Refined: Learning to Embrace Life’s Disappointments.  I have two chapters left!

5. Exercise at least three times.  I only made it to the gym once last week but we were sick most of the week.

6. Finish all Christmas thank-you notes!  (I found a list and realized I forgot to write a few.) -Oops I totally forgot about this!

Homemaking Goals

7.  Make homemade Greek Yogurt.-No this didn’t happen either.

8.   Spend two hours working on getting tax info together.  (I’m estimating it will take at least 5 hours to do this.)  -This didn’t exactly happen.  I did start a folder and compile all of our tax related documents that came in the mail.

9. Spend two hours cleaning the sewing room from top to bottom.  It’s not anywhere near clean but I did make an effort.

Business Goals

10. Sew two items for my Etsy shop that I hope to open soon.  I did sew a bridal shower present does that count?  🙂

11. Print more business cards.  I need to fix our printer….

Ministry Goals

12.  Attend a funeral for a friend’s Grandmother who passed away.

13.  Attend our church’s women’s retreat in Amish Country.   Unfortunately this was cancelled.
