To My Son With Love on Your Birthday

12 Dec

What a precious gift you are Elijah.

Dear Elijah,

It’s hard to believe you turned two today.  It seems like only yesterday I held you in my arms for the first time.  Never could your Daddy and I imagine how having you would change our lives in such a big way.  You are such an incredible DELIGHT and JOY in our lives.  Every single day you make me laugh and teach me something I didn’t know about myself.  In many ways it is hard to believe we celebrated your second birthday today.  On the other hand you fit so well into our family that it is hard to imagine just what life was like without you in it.

How fun it is to watch you grow and change so quickly before our eyes.  This year you have learned to walk, run, jump, and climb just about anything imaginable.  There is no fear in you at all.  No wonder we have been to the ER 3 times this year! You are all boy and I absolutely love every 34.5 inches of you for it.  🙂  Some of your favorite things right now are tractors, farm animals, trains, and everything else that goes.  You live life to the fullest and are quite the little talker.  Your Daddy and I love hanging out and talking with you.  You always have so much to say about everything.  This year has brought so many adventures.  You love going places and exploring almost as much as your mom and dad.  Some of our favorites have included hikes, trips to the park, and long walks to the library.

You are such an incredible delight to our lives Elijah.  You have really helped me to realize the truth of God’s Word when it says that Children are a blessing.  Truly you are such a blessing to us.  Year two was amazing as I watched you turn from a baby into a little man.  Thank you so much for being a part of my life.  I can’t wait to see what the next year brings.

I love you,

Mommy

Happy Birthday Elijah! I love you!

Yeah time does have a way of passing by so quickly. I am doing wonderful. My family and I just moved to NKY where Brandon is pastoring a church. I graduated from Southern this past May (yipee). 🙂 What have you been up to lately.
